Haunted Boat Parade
One of the great things about owning one of the homes in Pass Christian MS is the proximity to the water. With the Bay Saint Louis Municipal Harbor practically at your doorstep, there are plenty of ways to enjoy this watery environment throughout the year. Summer may be over, but the coastal celebrations continue this Halloween with the frightfully fun Haunted Boat Parade.
The Haunted Boat Parade is just one of the Halloween-themed events taking place October 27-28. The weekend festivities kick off with the VIP Pirate’s Ball on Friday night, followed by the Boo Cruise and Haunted Boat Parade on Saturday evening. Whether you have a boat of your own or not, there are plenty of ways to take part in this seasonal spectacle.
On Friday night, from 6-10 pm, you can take part in The Pirate’s Ball at Bacchus in the Pass. This private party, with drinks, hors d’oeuvres and live music, is only for participants in the Haunted Boat Parade, ticket holders of the Boo Cruise, and festival VIP. If you’ve been planning your Halloween costume for months, the Pirate’s Ball is the perfect place to show it off. While pirate-themed costumes certainly are welcome, they’re not mandatory. In fact costumes aren’t mandatory at all. But you know you want to wear one!
Whether you own a boat or not, you can take to the high seas — or at least the harbor — as part of the Boo Cruise or the Haunted Boat Parade. If you don’t have a boat, go with the Boo Cruise. Tickets are $50 and give you a fun evening as you lead the parade and enjoy a 3.5-hour ride on the Captain Pete. Your ticket automatically gets you into the Pirate Ball. If your costume survived the Pirate’s Ball, or if you have back-up costumes, feel free to dress in your Halloween best for the cruise.
For those of you with your own boat, join the Haunted Boat Parade for just $25. To get into the spirit, deck your boat out in its freakiest finery and compete for the Most Haunted Boat award. The trophy is created by local artist Nina Cork.
This Halloween, decorate your homes in Pass Christian MS, decorate your boats, and make sure you don’t miss the best Haunted Boat Parade and Pirate’s Ball on either side of the Mississippi.
